The Executive director of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), as well as the Chair of the SIG-III, have announced their scientific support for the conference. Considering the importance of the ASIS & T and SIG III, this scientific supports, will impact the effectiveness of the conference.
The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) is the preeminent professional association that bridges the gap between information science practice and research. ASIS&T members represent the fields of information science, computer science, linguistics, management, librarianship, engineering, data science, information architecture, law, medicine, chemistry, education, and related technology.  ASIS&T advances the information sciences and similar applications of information technology by helping members build their skills and developing their careers by providing focus, opportunity, and support through training, research, publications, and ongoing education.
The purposes of SIG-III are:

  • to promote better awareness among ASIS&T members and information professionals of the importance of international cooperation;
  • to facilitate and enhance better communication and interaction among ASIS&T members and their foreign colleagues on information issues;
  • to develop an international network of digital scholars and experts on digital libraries and information technology in developing countries; and
  • to provide a forum for exploring and discussing international information issues and problems. SIG III membership includes most non-U.S. ASIS&T members and a true cross-section of U.S. ASIS&T members.
