The aim of this conference is to provide a common platform for librarians, researchers, academicians, leaders, information providers and policy makers to share their experiences, innovative ideas and research findings more especially on design and development of public library services.
In this endeavor, international conference on design and development of public library services seeks who are eager to promote the development activities, experiences and idea in the field of public libraries. DDPLS is platform that started to attract hundreds of professionals from the field of library and information science, computer science, management and social science.
DDPLS welcomes professionals, researchers, librarians from all over the world to contribute on service design and developments of public libraries. The themes of the conference include on service design and development of public libraries.
The selected Persian papers will publish in Iranian Journal of Research on Information Science and Public Libraries & selected English papers will publish in International Journal of Information Science and Management (IJISM).
The conference is organized by the Iranian Public Libraries Advancement Association, Iranian Sociological Association & the Iran Public Libraries Foundation. The conference language is Persian and English.
Due to the constraints imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic situation and the resulting risks for planning and organizing a full-fledged conference with physical presence of attendees, the organizers decided to go virtual. This decision will warrant a smooth organization without unpredictable events and unnecessary modifications and adjustments during the preparation process. We thank all potential participants for their understanding and support in advance and duly hope for a high participation. FOCUS ON:
DDPLS acts under the Iranian Public Libraries Advancement Association, Iranian Sociological Association & the Iran Public Libraries Foundation and organizes the Design and Development of Services of Public Libraries; Patterns, Experiences and Ideas International conference. DDPLS is dedicated to promoting the theory and practice of DDS in Public Libraries and aspires to:
To establish an active network of people who are interested in DDPLS
To promote the theory and practice of DDPLS
To track the developments and share the research results of DDPLS
To transfer the knowledge on DDPLS from scientists to professionals.

THE TARGET GROUP OF DDPLS:
The target group and the audience are library professionals in a more general sense: professors, students, administrators, stakeholders, technologists, decision makers and managers, information scientists, librarians, marketing managers, sociologists, psychologists, IT specialties.

AWARDS:
DDPLS promotes outreach services award to librarians of public libraries for designing best outreach service and service design competition to all the researchers who design best service of public libraries.
